New Instrument Research Lab Electrosynth 2.0 GUI
In congruence with Jeff Snyder’s development of new electronic instruments, a small cohort of Princeton research assistants worked on accompanying software. My focus was the design of the graphical user interface.

Purpose:
The Electrosynth project aims to allow the user the highest degree of freedom over their instrument. For that reason, whenever we asked Jeff if we should allow some sort of functionality, the answer was yes.
You will see that the new GUI interface allows each module to be routed to another module. Effects run through Lane processing for ease of use, although the concept of a “Lane” can be bypassed entirely by an experienced user.
The GUI supports preset making and MIDI destination selection/uploading.
